Programs & Festivals

Albertine Foundation, Villa Albertine, and the French Embassy in the US presented the second edition of CinéSchool for the school year 2022-2023.

French teachers got access to educational resources for each movie, and thanks to digital tools like Flip, students were able to share their reviews in French about the films. Directors David Alaux (Les As de la Jungle), Arnaud Demuynck (La Chouette en Toque), Olivier Babinet (Swagger), Hélène Giraud and Thomas Szabo (Minuscule 2, les mandibules du bout du monde), Marya Zarif (Dounia), author Colas Gutman and illustrator Marc Boutavant (Chien Pourri, la vie à Paris), and Fondation Tara Océan’s team (Océans, le mystère plastique) pre-recorded short introduction videos and answered students’ questions on Flip.

“This film and the activities helped me improve the unit on the arts, and the students really appreciated it.”

Mr. Boyo Diop, Davis High School, Houston, TX
