FUSED supports projects collaboratively conceived by French and American dance professional and institutions, fostering artistic exploration, encouraging intercultural dialogue, and contributing to its dynamism. The CREATIVE AND PRODUCTION RESIDENCY GRANT, within this framework, supports the development of French American productions.
Projects involving artists whose work has rarely been seen in the partner country;
Only non-profit organizations are eligible. American entities must demonstrate their 501(c)(3) status granted by the IRS, while French organizations need to provide proof of equivalent non-profit status for eligibility;
American organizations must present projects involving French or France-based artists (mainland and overseas);
French organizations must propose projects involving at least one American dance artist or a U.S.-based artist collaborating with a French artist;
The partner organization (presenting partner, university…) must demonstrate a clear financial and artistic commitment towards the project;
No grants are awarded to individual artists;
FUSED grants support up to 50% of expenses related to the artistic project, including housing, per diem, travel, visa expenses, and equipment rentals related to production. However, the grant cannot exceed $20,000.
FUSED does not cover the operating and front of the house expenses of the presenting organization.
