The Crazy Ray

The Crazy Ray

Paris Qui Dort

The Crazy Ray represented a delightfully entertaining feature debut for the young René Clair. Also known as Paris Qui Dort, Clair’s 1924 film humorously combines the new art of the cinema with other modern symbols: the airplane and the Eiffel Tower. Again, Clair re-edited the film in the ’50s to the concise featurette presented here. The pilot is actor Albert Prejean, who would later play the lead character Albert in Under The Roofs Of Paris.
